A special thank you to all our school councillors for their hard work and for listening to the voice of their peers. Enjoy the toys, and remember.... if you have any ideas for what you'd like in school, something you'd like to change, or should you have any concerns, remember to speak to your school councillors.
Well done to the Scooter Challenge winners this week. Excellent work! Congratulations also to the whole school community, with particular thanks to the school council, for leading us through the 2nd accreditation assessment for the all Wales National Quality Award for Healthy Schools Scheme. Da iawn chi! It's also great to see our pupils keeping fit and active outside of school, which this week includes karate and football.

The annual SVP concert was a roaring success, as many parishioners and children from the school gathered to celebrate St. David's Day. Everybody enjoyed a wide variety of entertainment, including readings, instrumentalists and singing and reciting from pupils of St. Padarn's and St. Winefride's Church.
Green Day - Eco Schools
On behalf of our Eco Committee, we'd like to thank everyone for their tremendous efforts and contributions towards making our Green Day such a success. We've enjoyed undertaking tasks ourselves, with staff, parents and our Playgroup partners. We've planted lots of new shrubs and seeds and prepared our vegetable beds. The school grounds are looking much better after a good clear -up and litter pick. Congratulations everyone.
We had a very interesting lecture at Aberystwyth University recently, all about Science and Energy. Lots of us got to take part in different experiments and use all sorts of different equipment. We'd like to thank Aberystwyth University for the warm welcome we received, and also to Mr A.J.S Williams MBE for our invite, and for designing the lecture.
Diolch yn fawr iawn Mrs Cory and all the kitchen staff who prepared a triumphant feast for our Christmas Dinner. We enjoyed wearing our Christmas jumpers too, and managed to raise lots of money for the Text Santa Appeal.
It was lovely to be able to enjoy a fabulous concert given by the Ceredigion Orchestra and Choir before the end of term. We walked up to the Arts Centre on the 14th December and were amazed by the quality of the performers. We enjoyed a variety of music, including a medley of film music, the last movement of Saint Saens Organ Symphony, and finished with some Christmas songs by the choir. Many thanks to the performers for entertaining us and to Ceredigion Music Service for producing such talented musicians.
A big thank you to all our instrumentalists who entertained a jam-packed hall for our Carol Service and Coffee morning. Well done everyone! There's no better way to put everyone in the spirit of Christmas!
Many thanks to our Year 6 pupils for preparing and delivering our Advent Assembly. It was lovely to hear the readings and prayers, to learn about the wreath and significance of the candles, and to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. Diolch yn fawr iawn!
Bronze Young Ambassador
It was great to see Xavier, one of our Bronze Young Ambassadors, leading the warm-up session in football training after school. Diolch Rhodri.
We have a really hard working PTA at St. Padarn's, and we're very grateful for all their fundraising events throughout the year. Just before half term, we enjoyed a really fun disco, with dance competitions, pumpkin carving and of course....Mrs Cory's potato wedges and sausage baps. Thanks everyone for making our end of term disco such fun!
We had a wonderful Harvest Assembly on Thursday 22nd October, with our whole school family. We enjoyed lots of great singing, readings, poetry and story telling. It was great to welcome PC Alun back after the summer holidays to continue to deliver the National School Beat Programme to pupils across the school.
